How it works

Haivix uses an AI summarization endpoint. The model selects and rewrites important-looking sentences; it is not a deterministic extractive algorithm with fixed sentence scoring exposed in the UI.

How to use Text Summarizer

  1. Paste the full source text you want summarized (not just a fragment missing context).
  2. Run Summarize and compare each bullet or paragraph against the original for missing caveats.
  3. Verify facts, numbers, names, and conclusions against the source before acting on the summary.

When to use it

  • Getting a quick overview of a long article you plan to read in full
  • Drafting meeting notes recap from your own transcript
  • Creating a first-pass abstract for internal research sharing

When not to use it

  • Summarizing contracts, policies, or clinical guidance without expert review
  • Replacing reading source material for safety-critical decisions

Example

A 2,000-word product changelog might summarize to three themes (new API, deprecations, bug fixes). Check that deprecation dates and breaking changes were not dropped.

What to know before you start

  • Summaries can omit exceptions, conditions, and minority viewpoints present in the source.
  • Very long inputs may be truncated or summarized unevenly depending on model behavior.

Common mistakes

  • Treating AI summaries as complete or unbiased
  • Summarizing text you do not have rights to process on a third-party service
  • Using summaries in citations without reading the underlying source
