Annotation highlights created in Acrobat, Edge, Preview, and similar readers (PDF Subtype Highlight). Flattened or printed yellow marks baked into the page content are not annotations and will remain.
Yes. Optionally remove Underline, Squiggly, and StrikeOut markup annotations in the same pass. Other annotations such as links and comments are kept.
