It is designed for a careful one-page application or a longer academic CV, with a live preview of every change.

Editing, preview and PDF creation happen in your browser. The draft is saved in local storage on the current device and can be cleared at any time; Haivix does not upload your resume.

How it works

The page stores the resume fields in a structured form, renders them into the selected layout and theme, and paginates the live A4 preview. Print uses the browser's own PDF engine, which keeps text selectable; Download PDF captures the rendered preview as an image-based document. The draft is written to local storage on the current device, and the JSON export gives you a portable backup.

How to use Resume & CV Builder

1. Choose Resume or CV mode, pick a layout and theme, and enter your contact details and summary.
2. Add experience, education, skills, and any optional sections, then review the live A4 preview and ATS hints.
3. Use Print / Save as PDF for selectable text, Download PDF for a visual snapshot, or copy plain text for application forms.
4. Export the JSON draft if you want a backup or a second version for a different application.

Example: prepare a one-page software resume

Choose Resume mode, a single-column layout (Classic, Modern, or Compact), and a theme, then fill contact details, a short professional summary, recent roles with measurable bullets, education, and skills. Turn on Projects or Certifications only when they strengthen the application.

Review the live A4 preview and ATS hints, then use Print / Save as PDF for selectable text when applying through an ATS, or Download PDF when you need a polished visual snapshot. Copy plain text when a portal asks you to paste into form fields.

Tailor the summary and the most recent role to the job description, then export a fresh copy. Sending the same generic resume to every application is the most common reason a strong candidate gets filtered out.

What to know before you start

• The draft is saved on the current device only; it is not a cloud career profile or application tracker.
• An optional photo stays in the current browser session and is not written into the local draft.
• Download PDF captures the preview as images; Print / Save as PDF keeps selectable text for many ATS systems.
• Sidebar and Banner look stronger visually; Classic, Modern, and Compact remain the safest choices for many ATS uploads.
• Templates and hints do not guarantee interviews, ATS acceptance, or compliance with every employer or country convention.

Common mistakes

• Using a two-column sidebar layout for a strict ATS upload.
• Leaving the summary generic instead of matching the target role.
• Listing duties without outcomes, metrics or scope.
• Exporting the visual PDF when the portal expects selectable text.
• Forgetting to update the location, phone or email after moving.
• Sending a CV-length document for a role that asks for one page.

Troubleshooting

If the preview spills to a third page, trim older or less relevant roles before shrinking the font. A readable one-page resume beats a cramped two-page one.

If an ATS hint points at a missing field, fill it in even if the layout hides it in the preview; parsers read the text, not the visual design.

If the downloaded PDF is not selectable, use Print / Save as PDF instead. Download PDF is a visual snapshot.

If the layout looks broken after an import, check that the JSON draft came from the same tool and that all required sections are present.

If the photo disappears after reopening, upload it again; it is session-only and not included in the saved draft.
